A Local's Guide

A Season in the Hudson Valley

one household, one season

There is a smarter version of the second home. A seasonal rental gives you a fully furnished house in the Hudson Valley for the months you will actually use it, without the mortgage, the maintenance, or the off-season worry. One lease, one season, one household at a time.

One Household Per Season

The Little Red Farmhouse hosts a single household each season. From November through April or May through October, the house is simply yours: three bedrooms with a bath for each, original 1705 floors, Farrow and Ball walls, multiple fireplaces, a dedicated workspace with fast wifi, and a kitchen anchored by a Breville espresso machine. Arrive with suitcases; everything else is here.

The Winter Season

Winter here means the closest skiing to New York City five minutes away at Thunder Ridge, fires every evening, and a snow covered valley outside every window. Our winter season runs November through April from $7,250 per month.

The Summer Season

Summer means the Appalachian Trail out the door, porch dinners, the farm stands and village life of Pawling, and an easy hour back to the city when you need it. The summer season runs May through October from $6,500 per month.

How It Works

Tell us the season you have in mind through our inquiry form and we will send availability, full details, and a time to see the house. You can also book on Airbnb.
